Mon Guerlain

Commercial – 45s– 2019

Hanuman Originals were the production company and fixers for this huge commercial involving a crew of several hundred from Cambodia, Thailand, France, US and UK, among other countries. The remote location at Angie’s house in the middle of the jungle made logistics such as accommodation, transport and catering a real challenge, but the shoot was a major success, including permission to film at Angkor Wat.

Dragon Air

Commercial – 90s – 2002

Dragonair became one of the first international companies to successfully feature Angkor Wat in a commercial shoot in 2002. Inspired by the success of Hong Kong film ‘In the Mood for Love’ directed by Wong Kar-wai, Dragonair travelled to Siem Reap to film a troupe of dragon dancers on the causeway of Cambodia’s iconic temple. This was the very early days of commercial filming in Cambodia and sensitivity needed to be shown every step of the way.
